Abstract
This study aims to determine the level of understanding of the importance of financial management among students majoring in Social Sciences (IPS) at SMA Negeri 1 Garawangi and to help develop awareness of the relationship between economic knowledge and self-control. The method used in this study was a survey. The data analysis technique used was moderated regression analysis. A sample of 168 respondents was taken using a saturated sampling method. Based on the results, it can be concluded that: Economic literacy influences the financial behavior of students at SMA Negeri 1 Garawangi. This means that the higher the level of economic literacy, the better the financial behavior. Self-control moderates the effect of economic literacy on financial behavior at SMA Negeri 1 Garawangi. This means that with self-control, the influence of economic literacy on financial behavior is greater or stronger.
