Abstract

Commitment to providing student-centered education is very important. To provide real experience in strengthening the financial literacy of early childhood through fun activities for children, namely market day activities. The background problem is that children do not know and understand the value of currency and several terms in financial literacy. The aim of the research is an effort to introduce financial literacy as a supporter of children's life skills. The research was conducted at Nurul Hidayah Cileley Kindergarten with all students as the object. The research approach is a qualitative descriptive method that will explain market day activities from planning and implementation to evaluation and explain the basic financial literacy provided in accordance with children's development. Active participation of early childhood in market day activities can strengthen children's financial literacy and influence children's life skills as well as children's social and emotional abilities through independent and responsible character. It is hoped that literacy strengthening will be carried out continuously and sustainably.
